From horses to flowers to fruits, these attendees found their muses in nature
Fashion inspired by horses may not be an everyday occurrence, but it was perfectly at place at the 2014 Dubai World Cup.
The world’s largest horse-racing event saw many an elegant dress and colourful hat blend into the crowd on March 29, but a few attendees pushed the envelope and stood out by embracing equestrian themes in their outfits.
One attendee, Kazunori Hayashi, went as far as dressing in a horse onesie — yes, that’s a furry one-piece, and yes, he wore it in the scorching sun — with a sparkling gold bow-tie. Hayashi galloped when asked what he was supposed to be.
“It’s a horse,” his friend Yasuhiko Wada chimed in, laughing. “He bought it from Japan for this.”
