UAE’s road quality ranked best in the world

Dubai: Tired of driving on highways littered with potholes and rundown patches? If you want to drive only on roads with top-notch quality, there’s no need to look farther.

The UAE’s highways are considered the best quality in the world, according to the World Economic Forum’s Global Competitiveness Report for 2013-2014.

The survey showed that the quality of UAE’s roads scored 6.6 points on a scale of 1 to 7, with 1 being extremely underdeveloped and 7 being extensive and efficient.

The report ranked the country’s roads in the first place out of the 148 countries surveyed. Following closely behind are France and Oman, each earning a score of 6.4 points.
