An Emirati entrepreneur has been invited to take part in the My Voice Matters panel discussion in San Francisco next month, an event organised by Google and UN Women, part of the United Nations.
Hala Kazim, the 52-year-old, Dubai-based founder of Journey Through Change (JTC) which helps empower women through hikes and workshops, will discuss the state of women’s empowerment and gender equality in the Arab world.
On stage, Kazim will be joined by other prominent female figures such as a Paralympian and actress Aimee Mullins, UN Women’s representative, Oisika Chakrabarti, and a Rwandan genocide survivor, lawyer and president of the Women and Children Embassy Foundation, Arlette Nkurayija.
JTC has successfully completed several walking trips that combine counseling and motivational workshops in Italy, Spain, France, Switzerland, Austria and Japan.
