The UAE initiative Nabadat (heartbeats) successfully completed its second international mission in Sudan, providing heart surgeries and cardiac catheterisation for 67 children with congenital heart problems.
The charity initiative was established in 2007 by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) in collaboration with the Mohammad Bin Rashid Charity and Humanitarian Establishment, and has given a new lease of live to over 450 children since its inception by providing timely medical help.
Appreciating DHA’s efforts, Ebrahim Bu Melha, chairman of the board of trustees of the Mohammad Bin Rashid Charity and Humanitarian Establishment, said: “The DHA has carried over several medical philanthropic initiatives such as conducting free heart surgeries, assisting thalassemia patients, providing free equipment such as ventilators etc. to health facilities in countries of need. We are pleased to have partnered with the DHA for several charitable initiatives through the years.”
