Qatar 2014 food festival to kick off this month at MIA Park

The 2014 Qatar International Food Festival (QIFF) will open for a fifth year on March 20 at the Museum of Islamic Art Park, the Qatar Tourism Authority has announced.

The four-day event, which concludes on March 23, will highlight healthy food and the Qatar-Brazil Year of Culture through cuisine and entertainment.

In a statement, festival organizers said: “QIFF includes a number of areas that represent distinctive kitchens from around the world as the International Zone is divided into European, Arab, Asian and American lounges. The Healthy Food Zone will be dedicated entirely to healthy food offerings which will include raw foods, salads, vegetables, fruits, steamed cooked seafood and meats accompanied by fresh juices and teas – all of which reflect the main message of the food festival – eat healthy food, adopt a healthy lifestyle and stay fit.”
