All eight public Libraries in Dubai will now offer Arabic books in Braille for the very first time.
This initiative comes under the directives of Shaikh Majid Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, and in collaboration with the Zayed Higher Organisation for Humanitarian Care and Special Needs.
The libraries will offer 44 titles in Arabic Braille including including ‘My Vision’, the acclaimed book by His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice-President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai. The Authority plans on continuing to develop more books in order to reach the visually challenged.
