Marvel has certainly taken some progressive steps forward in recent years, and has opened up the world to a diverse cast of heroes. Just this summer, 9-year-old Lunella Lafayette – the little black girl in the Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur comics – was named the smartest hero in all of the Marvel universes. It’s clear that Marvel cares about representation and creating characters that are not only relatable, but that can also teach us lessons.
