What makes a great scientist great? Intelligence? Focus? Determination?
These are all important qualities, but there’s something else shared by all of history’s great thinkers, from Albert Einstein to Isaac Newton: the desire to keep asking ‘why?’
That’s one of the reasons ‘lema?’ – the Arabic word for ‘why?’- was chosen as the name of an exciting science education program for school children in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Gharbia.
The ‘lema?’ initiative takes an informal approach to science education, engaging young minds through interactive workshops and shows. Aimed at children in grades 3 to 7, it’s as much about having fun as learning.
