Jaguar Land Rover has opened its first off-road dune-bashing track in the Middle East.
The course covers 3.5 kilometres in the middle of the Sakhir desert in Bahrain, with 32 natural and manmade obstacles including slide slopes, humps, rocks, water and gravel tracks.
It is Land Rover’s first ‘Experience Centre’ in the Middle East and North Africa and has been launched in collaboration with Bahrain International Circuit (BIC). The facility is situated close to the Bahrain Grand PrixCircuit, which hosted the 2004 GrandPrix.
Two ‘experiences’ are on offer: the first is as a passenger in a Land Rover vehicle and the second provides the chance to get behind the wheel, guided by a qualified instructor. They range from a half day taster course to an advanced experience covering the whole of the course.
