Hoor Bahamdein: Simplicity with a touch of luxury

Twenty-five-year-old Saudi fashion designer Hoor Bahamdein started her fashion line in 2012. She noticed the shortage of casual dresses in the Saudi market, which motivated her to start her brand.

Bahamdein’s embroidery painting for a cartoon character was selected to be shown in an art exhibition. That painting was her first design and that’s how it all started.

Arab News met with Bahamdein at a fashion exhibition where she showcased her latest collection comprising long silk dresses and cocktail dresses. We spoke to her about her work, passion and future plans.

Describe to us your fashion style.

My style is very unique, classy and comfortable.

What inspires you when working on a new collection?

Many things inspire me and it depends on the collection I work on. But the main inspiration are the 70s and 80s where fashion was different and classic.
