Code to Inspire is Afghanistan’s award-winning first all-girls coding school–and they’re coding their way to gender equality.
Fereshteh Forough belonged to an Afghan refugee family that moved to Iran after the Taliban took power in 1996. Once the Taliban regime collapsed in Afghanistan in 2001, she moved back to Afghanistan. She earned a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the Technical University of Berlin before she started teaching Computer Science at the University of Herat in Afghanistan.
