Discover a mix of inspiring brands at this year’s Downtown Design

This year, as the Middle East descends upon Dubai for the very first Dubai Design Week; architects, interior designers and enthusiasts will make their way to the region’s design fair,Downtown Design, which will take place from October 27-30. CID talks to the Fair’s director, Rue Kothari to find out more about this year’s event.

What differs Downtown Design from other design exhibitions?

We had a great many number of brands looking to exhibit this year. By carefully reviewing every application, we are able to curate a mix of established and emerging regional and international brands that cover a range of product categories, while always maintaining standards of original, high quality design and innovation.

Why is the fair important to the region’s design industry?

Downtown Design is increasingly becoming a focal point in the design calendar that attracts active professionals from around the world. With the pace of development in the region, and so many brands looking to enter the market, we provide a crucial platform to meet key players in the industry and grow their business.
