It’s a new year and wonderful times are ahead. We have been listening to the voices of the readers and are very excited to announce an improved elan will be re-launching this Spring with expanded features, new sections, reporters, and coverage of the stories you want to hear and SEE. With the re-launch, elan will be producing weekly webcasts from around the globe, created and submitted by select video journalists/filmmakers to share their personal stories of the world with the elan community.
Become an elan correspondent and tell your stories to the world.
We currently are accepting applicants for online correspondents from around the world. elan would like to create an exclusive channel where young Muslims can exchange various segments of their lives, thoughts, experiences that are not shown anywhere else. We’d like filmmakers and broadcast journalists to send in footage of things like:
-What’s a stroll through Bay Ridge, a predominantly Arab area of Brooklyn, like?
-What it’s like to vote at a polling station in Iraq?
-Report on the Festival of Kites in Lahore, Pakistan.
-What do people think of the environment in Senegal?
Essentially, we’d like for young Muslims to tell their own stories through a camera in order to engage with a larger community globally.
If you are interested in this exciting new opportunity with elan, start by helping us spread the word and share our video message on your social networks (please use #ElanWebcasts for Twitter). Then contact elan@elanthemag.com with 3 pitches to the elan audience with VIDEO CORRESPONDENT in the subject field.
Thank you for reading we can’t wait to share with you what is ahead for us.
