Bahraini entrepreneurs compete for award

Entrepreneurs in Bahrain have been invited to apply for the Bahrain Award for Entrepreneurship, which is considered to be the kingdom’s largest entrepreneurship award.

Designed to recognise the contributions of entrepreneurs to Bahrain’s economy, the award is held under the patronage of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of Bahrain Economic Development Board.

In addition to a People’s Choice Award, which will take the public vote into consideration to honour long-standing entrepreneurial pioneers, the panel comprised of high-profile Bahraini and regional business figures will decide on the Micro-Enterprise of the Year, Start-up of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year, and Sustainable Business Award.

All applicants are to be evaluated on the basis of their enterprise growth, economic impact, optimisation of talent and diversity, leadership and innovation, business responsibility and entrepreneurial spirit.
