iPhone users in the emirate will soon be able to file food safety complaints via a new app.
Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority (Adfca) will introduce its smartphone app for iPhones this month, a senior official told Gulf News on Sunday.
The authority’s app for Android-based smartphones introduced in October last year, has so far received a good response, Mohammad Jalal Al Raisi, Director of Communication and Community Service at Adfca, said.
“We have been receiving a large number of complaints, suggestions and other feedback through the mobile application [for Android phones],” he said.
The iPhone application will be available on the App Store and can be easily downloaded within a few seconds.
Al Raisi said smartphone apps help the authority receive pictures from consumers on the spot and the app identifies the location.
