UAE-based Silver Spoon Investments (SSI) opened its first restaurant, Japanese “Atisuto”, in the newly opened Galleria Mall on Wasl Road.

The restaurant’s theme was inspired by sushi restaurants found in the backstreets of Japan’s major cities.

“Atisuto,” meaning “artist” in Japanese, is filled with graffiti stricken walls which were inspired by avant-garde artists who admired Japanese culture and expressed themselves freely by painting directly on the walls and floors.

The opening of the restaurant was headed by one of Dubai’s leading sushi chefs, Chef Aijiro, whose worked in top notch Dubai hotels such as Le Meridien.

To create the menu, Aijiro combined his traditional Japanese technique with a modern twist. The menu concentrations on sushi, sashimi, robata grill, yakitori, udon and ramen soups.
