UAE-based Amana Healthcare has announced the completion of work on the first specialised hospital for advanced medical rehabilitation in the country.
The 80-bed facility in Abu Dhabi, which the company said it the first of its kind in the UAE, will provide intensive inpatient rehabilitation for medically complex patients after major disabling events such as stroke, head injury, major surgery or severe illness.
Company officials said the launch of the centre will mean UAE patients will no longer have to travel abroad for the special treatments.
The hospital has 80 private rooms, 16 VIP rooms, two specialised gyms, a large hydrotherapy pool and two landscaped therapy gardens.
