Dubai medics to deploy world's longest ambulance during NYE

Dubai’s medical emergency services are preparing for New Year’s Eve, which has become their busiest night of the year.

With large crowds expected to attend the various New Year’s Eve celebrations in the city, the medical professionals are ready to attend to any emergency situations.

“It’s the busiest night for us medics because a lot of people go out and watch the fireworks. They’re expecting a huge crowd [this year],” Neil Kirby, director of Operations at the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services (DCAS), told Gulf News.

The busiest area is expected to be the Burj Khalifa-Downtown Dubai area, where as many as 1.5 million visitors are expected to attend the New Year’s Eve Gala.
