Mohammed Rahma will be the first Emirati to represent his country at the annual International Surfing Asscociation (ISA) World Games in Peru, making history to be the first UAE National competing in a global surfing event.
The 27-year-old will be joining the ISA’s 50th anniversary as the first Emirati National to compete in the international surfing competition, highlighting the Emirates as a surfing destination to the world.
Mohammed Rahma, known as ‘Mo’, learnt how to surf in 2010 following an injury in rugby which forced him into rehabilitation exercises in the water. It was while he was in the sea that he saw people surfing and decided he wanted to try it himself.
