Stories of border villages at SALT Galata

An installation split onto eight screens of a video shot in border villages of Turkey and its eight neighbors — Armenia, Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece, Iran, Iraq, Nakhchivan and Syria — goes on display this week at SALT Galata in Istanbul.  Titled “1+8,” the video was first screened as a feature film in last year’s İstanbul International Film Festival and at SALT, however Cynthia Madansky and Angelika Brudniak, the independent filmmakers and visual artists behind the project, chose to exhibit it as a separate installation as»»
